Ok, i start first : is there any easy way to cut .mkv file ? I have .mkv and it is too big to fit into DL disc. Any newbie friendly app is around ?

I wouldn’t recommend splitting any video files in the first place, but you can use MKVToolNix: http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/win32/mkvtoolnix-unicode-2.9.8-setup.exe

Aye, just download the CCCP-pack and you’ll be set. Better rendering than VLC as well as far as documentations go, and I can assume this is to everyone’s liking as we’re all diggin’ 1080p and 720p.

@jonny – I know that splitting is not good idea. I see that tool you mention splits in size, is there any app like virtual dub becouse i would like to cut just last part with credits. Or your know app like divfix to fix mkv after hand cut? ;>
try a video editor like ulead or pinnacle studio. very simple just to cut and recode the video, also has the options to correct the video in some cases.
How can i find the bitrates of my mkv files? i can find my others easily but not my mkv files..i know it’s adumb question but help would be appreciated :)
I know that there are apps to recode, but I am curious is there way to make it faster. Reencoding will take ages.
i’m currently using BitTorrent 6.2…but i could get as much as 10-13kb dl speed…
i have just started trying LIMEWIRE 5.2 and it shows 18-20kb dl speed…
would i be doing the right thing if i switch to Limewire full time?
